What urgent care services are available?

Urgent Care and TeleHealth offers comprehensive medical care for all nonemergency situations. You can receive both diagnostic and treatment services for a wide range of conditions, including colds and flu, muscle sprains, high blood pressure, infections, and strep throat.

Dr. Ahwah also offers numerous preventive care services, including:

• Wound care
• Annual flu shots
• Sports injury services
• Workers’ compensation care

School, sports, and DOT physicals are also available to satisfy elementary, high school, college, sports, and employment requirements.

How do private Urgent Care costs compare to an ER visit?

As a locally physician-owned Urgent Care clinic, Urgent Care + TeleHealth excludes the high hidden facility fees charged by all emergency rooms and hospital-owned urgent care clinics. 

Our average cost is $220. The average cost of an ER visit is $2,900 and the average cost of a hospital-owned urgent care (which also includes a facility fee) is $1,200.

At Urgent Care + TeleHealth, we accept most commercial insurance plans including Kaiser and Medicare and welcome self-pay patients. Patients can also use HSA, FSA or Debit Cards at the time of service and receive a 10% discount.  

When do I need urgent-care services?

The physicians and staff at Urgent Care and TeleHealth offer comprehensive medical services for a variety of non-life-threatening conditions.

Unlike the traditional hospital emergency room, you won’t have to wait hours to be seen by a board-certified physician. The Urgent Care and TeleHealth team strives to get you in front of a doctor within 20 minutes of your arrival. In most cases, people can return home within an hour of their appointment.

In the event you experience symptoms like severe chest pains, limb loss, or other serious injuries or wounds, you should call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room for prompt medical care.

Do I need an appointment?

The Urgent Care and TeleHealth team makes it easy to schedule an appointment. In many cases, same-day or next-day appointments are available to ensure you get the treatment you need.

The offices are open seven days a week, including holidays. You can conveniently book an appointment online or call the office nearest you for the soonest available appointment.

Do I have to go to a hospital for X-rays?

No. At Urgent Care and TeleHealth, on-site digital X-rays are available for your convenience. The facilities also feature a laboratory, so you can expect fast test results. This ensures that the medical team can provide you with an accurate diagnosis during your visit.

For prescription medications, including antibiotics, Urgent Care and TeleHealth  has on-site pharmacies at both its offices.

I was in a motor vehicle accident. Can I use my insurance to pay for my visit?

We are unable to see Motor Vehicle Accident patients using private insurance but will happily care for you with our affordable self-pay rates. Our office will provide a receipt that can be turned in for reimbursement from your car insurance carrier.

Can I use travel insurance?

We are unable to bill travel insurance providers and your visit will be charged at self-pay rates. Our office will provide a receipt that can be turned in for reimbursement from your travel insurance provider.
