The new bivalent COVID-19 vaccines are in our clinics. We have two ways to get boosted: by appointment or walk-in.
1. To schedule an appointment for a booster, please visit California’s My Turn website.
Once at the My Turn site, search by zip code for the clinic you’d like to visit.

2. Walk-in without an appointment. We’ll accommodate you as soon as possible. When in the office, we’ll help you get registered on California’s My Turn website.
The new boosters from Moderna and Pfizer which were approved in August 2022 are called bivalent because they are designed to protect against both the older variants and the newer “Omicron” variant which is the predominant variant circulating in Napa and Solano counties.
More specifically, the updated COVID-19 boosters work by adding both the Omicron BA.4 and the BA.5 spike protein components to the current vaccine. These boosters are designed to help restore the protection that has been reduced since previous vaccinations.
When filling out the form on the My Turn Website, first click on Make an Appointment. Then be sure to choose Updated booster (bivalent) dose. That’s the new Omicon variant COVID booster.

According to Dr. Walensky at the CDC:
“The updated COVID-19 boosters are formulated to better protect against the most recently circulating COVID-19 variant. They can help restore protection that has waned since previous vaccination and were designed to provide broader protection against newer variants. This recommendation followed a comprehensive scientific evaluation and robust scientific discussion. If you are eligible, there is no bad time to get your COVID-19 booster and I strongly encourage you to receive it.”
Which COVID-19 Boosters do you have at Urgent Care + TeleHealth?
At the Urgent Care + TeleHealth clinics in Sonoma, Benicia and Napa, we have both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. Supplies may change.
What ages are eligible for the COVID-19 bivalent vaccine?
Bivalent vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech are authorized for people aged 12 and up while the Moderna bivalent vaccine is authorized for people aged 18 and up.
Can I mix and match COVID-19 Boosters?
Yes. According to the CDC, if you already received your primary (2 doses) of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and are now getting a booster, either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA COVID-19 vaccines) may be administered.
Does my insurance cover the COVID-19 Booster?
Yes. If you are covered by one of the insurance providers that we accept at Urgent Care + TeleHealth, your COVID-19 booster will be covered. We can not accept Medi-Cal for vaccines at this time.
I don’t have insurance. What is the cost of the COVID-19 Booster?
There is a $40 administrative fee that’s charged for COVID-19 boosters for self-pay patients.
Should I get my flu vaccine at the same time as my COVID-19 booster?
Yes. If you have not yet received your annual flu vaccine, both the flu shot and the COVID-19 vaccine booster can be administered at the same time, though experts recommend receiving the shots in different arms.
Do you offer treatments for those who test positive for COVID-19?
Yes. We offer both Monoclonal Antibody and antiviral treatments which can help you speed recovery. We also offer the Evusheld Immune Booster which is recommended for people who are Immunocompromised( Diabetes, Cancer, Transplant, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, Renal Failure, etc) patients or who are allergic to the vaccines. Please ask us for more information about these treatments.
